Cotton Planet was founded out of a love for children, good design, and uniqueness. Anita, the founder, has a strong crafting background passed down through generations. Waking up in her grandparents’ house to the sound of a Singer sewing machine is one of her cherished childhood memories that evokes a sense of safety. Anita's passion for design and aesthetics led her to pursue a diploma in Interior Design.

 

In 2006, Anita arrived in Ireland with her baby boy to build a life for her family. Cotton Planet was established some years later, initially starting with handmade baby bedding and later expanding into a well-stocked toy and gift shop for babies and small children.

 

Having raised a young boy herself, Anita witnessed and admired the vast imagination of children. She saw how a simple cotton bud could become a beloved "hamster" and how what may seem like "just a toy" to her was an essential part of her son's life and his constant companion. Today, she aims to provide this same joy to children by offering dolls, teddies, and plushies that are beautifully crafted, high-quality, fun, and special.
